Insomnia in Honolulu? Head to the Wailana Coffee House

Seriously, this place is like coming home. Very retro, very inviting and very cheap! They are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. My dad is a fan of the mac nut pancakes, my mom likes the banana coconut pancakes, and Sergiy likes the all-you-can-eat salad bar and the cocktail lounge.

This is the perfect place to hit up after you've been out drinking or if you've been up all night working and can't sleep. Steak, shrimp, French toast made with Portuguese sweet bread, and of course, their signature buttermilk pancakes...

Short ribs, fried rice and steamed veggies...

and a side order of macaroni salad. A must.

Wailana has a cocktail lounge that has a kitsch-feel, so order a mai tai during their happy hour and karaoke to your heart's content (communally). Monday through Friday appetizers are 50% off when ordered with drinks.
