Columbus Circle Holiday Market

Right outside the Shops At Columbus Circle is the Holiday Market.

I love to shop in the evenings during the holidays. Everything twinkles twice as bright...

Beurre & Sel...

Fresh Ginger Tea, Lemongrass Tea, Thai Iced Tea and other Thai goodies...

This samovar caught my eye! This booth sells delicious Turkish sweets and savories. Apple Tea...

Wafels & Dinges. I wish you could smell this photo...

because it's amazing. It's buttery heaven. And then they top the waffles with whipped cream and this rich, chocolately stuff (spekuloos spread).

Spekuloos cookies and Spekuloos spread for sale...

German Delights...

Gluehwine and hot apple cider to keep warm...

Love beverage dispensers...I always find myself drawn to them. chocolate. Winter's guilty pleasure. I love La NewYorkina anytime. She makes unique Mexican ice pops (paletas) in the summer and decadent hot chocolate in the winter. The Mango Chile paleta is still one of my faves. There are no paletas at the holiday market right now though.

Picked up some chocolate and this nifty little handcrafted device to make frothy hot chocolate at home. You add one of those hockey puck-sized chocolates to 2 cups of boiling milk or water, aerate with whisk (or my new friend) and voila! My friend suggests I use it when preparing matcha. Thanks Marzi for the great tip! Fany Gerson was kind enough to engrave the handle of my "frothing device" for me. I will be gifting that one to someone special this holiday season.

Here it is in action.

And no holiday party, football game, Wii party is complete without some beef jerky! Sergiy and I don't ever road trip without his homemade beef jerky. We're always on the look out for great jerky. So when I saw the beef jerky samples in this particular stall, I stopped in and gave it a try. They really were great.

Matt & Tom! The nicest guys you will ever meet. Read their story here.
