A Trolley To Ferry

Posted on February 11, 2013 by LISA KUNIZAKI | 0 Comments

Set out one early morning to the Ferry Building Marketplace. I was determined to ride on this charming trolley.

Couldn't wait to start exploring...

Completely enchanted by this whimsical stand by Biscuit Bender. It's in a cozy nook right in the corner. Gives one that rustic, English countryside feel without leaving the states...

And the variety of biscuits! One can only dream and they are the perfect size. Not grotesquely huge like some places...

Cheddar, Buttermilk, Sour Cream & Chives, Mexican Hot Chocolate Biscuit, and their "Biscuit & Tea" (Earl Grey Tea in the biscuit and topped with Vanilla Glaze).

They were also selling fruited butters and jams...Bacon Bourbon Jam, Citrus Blossom Marmalade, Watermelon-Sweet Tea, Blackberry-Lavender and many others. Butters: Honey Ginger, Espresso, Pure Butter...

These would all make perfect bites for an impromptu tea party. Moving along...

Cowgirl Creamery's Artisan Cheese Shop & Sidekick

or head to the bar...

for a cheese sampler...

Boccalone Salumeria

"Boccalone artisan meats combine sustainably raised, heritage-breed pork, Italian sea salt, and the freshest spices with the rarest ingredient of all: time. Their small-batch, hands-on methods and traditional cold curing techniques can take up to ten times longer than other producers'."

The salumi cone...

Blue Bottle Coffee If you live in NYC like I do, here's my previous post on Blue Bottle.

Imperial Tea Court I picked up some Earl Grey & Jasmine shortbread cookies, a tea strainer and an adorable hand drawn postcard from The Imperial Tea Court. There was a young lady selling tea eggs in front of the shop later in the afternoon...

Adorable teapot...
