SriPraPhai | Thai Cuisine in Queens

Posted on April 29, 2013 by LISA KUNIZAKI | 0 Comments

I had relatives visiting us from Japan a few weeks back. On their last night in town we decided to go to a nearby restaurant.

No visit is complete without Thai Iced Tea with Black Pearls. Clarissa and I each ordered one.

This is probably one of my favorite dishes at SPP--Crispy Chinese Watercress Salad with Shrimp, Squid and Chicken

Fried Whole Shrimp wrapped w. Egg Roll Skin (left) and Chicken Curry Puffs served with Cucumber Salad (right)

Papaya Salad with Seafood and Dried Shrimp

Raw Shrimp topped with Garlic, Chili and Lime Juice. This dish is wonderful to share with a group of people, but I can tell you that I really couldn't eat more than two. Texture is similar to that of amaebi, but it's not sweet and delicate. This dish has the perfect balance of acidity and spiciness.

 My brother ordered this soup.

Grilled beef

 Fried pork

Noodles with vegetables

Drunken Noodles- Sauté Noodles with Sliced Pork, Chili and Basil Leaves

Fried rice

Dessert

Coconut pudding

Lychee sorbet

And if you want to take your dessert to go, you can stop by the refrigerators by the entrance and the options are endless!

SriPraPhai is a CASH ONLY establishment so make sure to come prepared if you usually rely on your debit/credit card. But, just in case you forget they do have an ATM inside the restaurant.

Happy Eating!

XO,

CdS
